Letters from the In-Between: maybe you are not lost...

Maybe you are not lost... Maybe you are simply becoming unfamiliar to the life you no longer want.

There is a moment that happens before every real change.

The old version of you begins to fall apart. The things that once felt normal start to feel heavy. The conversations. The routines. The dreams. Even the people.

And because the new version of you has not fully arrived yet, you think something is wrong.

You think you are lost.

But perhaps this is not what being lost feels like.

Perhaps this is what it feels like to outgrow a life that no longer belongs to you.

To stand in the uncomfortable space between no longer and not yet.

To become unfamiliar to the version of you that spent so long surviving.

You are not broken. You are not behind. You are not failing.

You are changing.

What I know now

  • Confusion is often the first language of transformation.

  • Sometimes your old life begins to hurt because your soul has already moved on.

  • Not recognizing yourself is sometimes the beginning of becoming yourself.

Carry this with you

I trust the part of me that no longer fits where I have been.

Before you go…

What in your life no longer feels like home?

If you feel like sharing, I would love to read you in the comments.
