Letters from the In-Between: you’ve been creating all along

I've realized, thoughts hold such might,
transforming dreams into tangible light.
Lately I’ve been seeing something I can’t unsee.
For a long time, I thought life was just happening.
Like I was reacting to it, trying to keep up, doing my best with what was in front of me.
But now I’m starting to notice something deeper.
The way I think… changes everything. Not in an abstract way—in a very real, very tangible way.
The tone of my thoughts shapes the tone of my days.
The way I speak to myself becomes the way I experience everything around me.
And it’s a strange realization, because part of me wishes it wasn’t true.
It would be easier to believe that things are just “out there,” separate from me.
But they’re not.
My inner dialogue, my beliefs, the state I’m in…they’re not just background noise.
They’re creating.
And I know it can feel hard to accept this, especially when so much of what we think feels automatic.
Like it was handed to us long before we had the awareness to question it.
But even that isn’t fixed.
There’s something in me that can choose differently. That can imagine something new, even before it fully believes it.
And maybe that’s where this begins.
Not in forcing myself to think positive, but in realizing that I’ve been far more powerful than I was ever taught to believe.
That I’ve been participating in my reality all along.
What I know now
What I think is not neutral—it’s creative.
The stories I repeat become familiar, and then real.
I can choose a different inner state, even if it feels new at first.
Carry this with you
What lives in me doesn’t stay in me,
it finds its way into my reality,
Before you go…
What would you start thinking if you truly trusted how powerful your mind is?
